    Why connect it

Your plan stops living in a separate tab.
-------------------------------------------

### Your priorities in view

The connection will extract the goals in your strategy document for you to review.

### Already written down

Your positioning and ideal customer are in your documents. You will be able to turn them into a draft of your business context.

### Facts you can check

The draft will include source quotes so you can check each fact before confirming it.

   What to choose

The files that explain your business.
---------------------------------------

You will pick individual files in Google’s own file picker. Clarveni will read those files and nothing else in your Drive.

- **Strategy and annual plan** The priorities and bets the leadership team agreed for the year.
- **Positioning and messaging** How you describe what you sell and why customers choose you.
- **Ideal customer profile** The segments, company sizes and buyers you are going after.
- **Product overview** What your products do today and where they are heading.
- **Competitive analysis** Your own view of who you compete with and where you win.

   Getting started

Three steps, all in your account.
-----------------------------------

 Step 1

### Connect Google

A Clarveni administrator signs in with Google from Clarveni and approves read-only access to the files you pick.

 Step 2

### Pick your files

Choose specific Docs and Drive files in Google’s picker. Add or remove files in Clarveni later.

 Step 3

### Review and confirm

The planned connection will extract a draft from your selected files, with source quotes for you to review before saving.

   Business context in your brief

A rival expands. Your plan says why it matters.

What changed in your market A competitor launches a mid-market edition with a lower entry price.

From your Google Docs 2027 strategy: mid-market accounts are your main growth target for the year.

Why it matters to you The launch is aimed at the customers your plan depends on, so it is more than a pricing headline.

What to consider next Ask Sales and Product to review mid-market positioning before your next pricing decision.

   Access and refresh

 You decide what Clarveni reads.
---------------------------------

Read-only Clarveni will read the files you choose, without editing, moving, commenting on or sharing them.

File by file Access covers the files you pick in Google’s picker. Other files in your Drive stay out of reach.

Changes you review You will be able to check your chosen files for changes, then extract and review again to update your saved context.

Yours to disconnect You will be able to remove files or disconnect Google, stopping further reads and deleting the saved document profile.

 Google Drive questions.
-------------------------

Can I connect a whole Drive?

No. You choose individual files, and Clarveni reads only those. That keeps the context focused on the documents that explain your business, and keeps everything else private.

   Which files can Clarveni read?

Google Docs, Word documents (.docx), plain text and PDFs with selectable text work best. Scanned pages, images and text inside diagrams are not read.

What happens when I edit a document?

The planned connection will let you check for changes, then extract and review a new draft when you want to update your saved context.

Does connecting Google change my brief’s format?

No change to the format or delivery day is planned. Once connected, selected context can inform your weekly brief.

   Other integrations

Your context often lives in more than one place.
