A recommendation is easier to assess when you can see what supports it. Clarveni links each main development to its sources in Clarveni so you can check the development, understand what is still uncertain and decide whether the proposed response makes sense.

The important questions are straightforward: what does the source actually say, when was it reported or observed, and how much of the conclusion is interpretation?

Clarveni uses business information and news from external data services, alongside scheduled checks of public pricing or packaging pages you choose.

A company announcement can establish what the company has said. A news report can add context or report a development. A comparison of two public pages can show a change between those checks. None automatically establishes what happened inside the organisation or how customers responded.

The brief’s source details come from the collected evidence. The AI refers to that evidence; it does not choose a plausible-looking web address to support its prose. If the collected record has no source link, Clarveni does not invent a replacement.

When opening a source, look for the specific claim. A link to the right organisation is useful only if the material supports the point being made.

Reported and observed changes answer different questions.

- **Reported:** a dated announcement or article tells us when the development was reported. The event itself may have happened earlier.
- **Observed:** a profile or page changed between checks. We know what was visible when we checked it, but may not know the exact day it changed.

> If a feature is absent at the first check and present at the next, we know it appeared between the checks. The date we found it is not necessarily its launch date.

This distinction matters when judging how quickly to respond. [Reported change vs observed change](/blog/reported-change-vs-observed-change) gives a fuller example.

Pricing pages need particular care. A published pricing table may show comparable tiers, prices and limits. A calculator may show only its starting selection. Some offers require a conversation with the supplier before a price is available.

Clarveni records whether a page provides a usable table, a partial view, text alone or no usable information. Its checks flag monetary claims backed only by a partial view.

The visible details can still be useful. You may be able to establish that a tier, feature, limit or promotion changed without knowing the full price a customer would pay. A sensible next step is then to compare the relevant offer or confirm the terms.

An inaccessible page or an empty result leaves a gap. It doesn’t establish that prices stayed the same.

An estimate about an organisation is different from a recorded observation. Where the source identifies a figure as estimated, Clarveni uses that distinction in its evidence checks. If the source does not provide that information, the check cannot settle it.

There is also a difference between a development and its possible effect on your business. A new partnership may create a route to market. It doesn’t establish demand, favourable commercial terms or a reason for you to join. Those are questions for the recommendation to help you investigate.

Several mentions of the same announcement can also be the same evidence repeated. Clarveni checks for overlapping evidence so that repetition is not simply presented as several separate developments.

Checks on the generated draft examine source references, dates, figures and the relationship between evidence and the brief’s claims. If it makes claims about developments but has no traceable evidence at all, it is blocked. Other findings are recorded without necessarily stopping delivery.

These are checks for particular faults. Finding a number in a cited source, for example, does not prove the sentence has used it in the right context. Your team can choose [review before send](/trust/how-clarveni-uses-ai) for future briefs to read and edit each draft before approving it. Edits do not run the generation checks again, so check that any revised claim is supported by the recorded source.

A quiet week means Clarveni has not found enough relevant evidence to recommend a change within the coverage available. It is not proof that nothing happened or that your current plan is right.

Read the coverage notes before deciding to carry on unchanged. If an important organisation or source was unavailable, decide whether that gap needs a separate check. [What a quiet intelligence week looks like](/guides/what-a-quiet-intelligence-week-looks-like) explains how to make that call.

If something looks wrong, send the brief, the claim and any correcting source to . Those details make the issue easier to investigate.
