  Clarveni uses AI to turn company developments into business intelligence shaped around your priorities. It assesses relevance, brings the important developments together and recommends a response with the reasoning and supporting evidence. Your team receives an analysis to consider and act on, with the unanswered questions made clear.

Your business context is part of that processing. So are the limits of what the sources can tell us.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Clarveni first identifies developments in the evidence it collects, then assesses which ones matter to your business. When preparing the brief, it uses your business context, relevant earlier briefs and questions still under review. That lets it consider a new development alongside what was already known.

For the brief, the information can include:

- what your business offers and the customers it serves;
- your market, priorities and chosen briefing audience;
- the questions you want the brief to help answer;
- how you relate to the organisations you’re following; and
- relevant themes and questions still under review from earlier briefs.

External AI services process this information, including the business context you supply. [How Clarveni handles your data](/trust/how-clarveni-handles-your-data) explains account access, recipients and the wider handling of that information.

Each brief retains the business context used when it was created. Changing your priorities helps shape future briefs without making an old recommendation appear to have been written for today’s priorities.

> A source might establish that a supplier has opened a new facility. What that means for your delivery risk is a separate judgement.

It depends on where you operate, what you buy and what still needs checking.

Clarveni assesses the change against your positioning, customers, priorities and relationship to the company. It asks the AI to distinguish the observed fact from its possible consequences, order the main developments by importance to your business and recommend a concrete response. If there is no reason to change your plans, the brief should explain why. If more evidence is needed, it can flag the development as something to watch.

The AI doesn’t know your latest contract terms, margins or customer conversations unless that information is supplied. A recommendation to review a price or speak to a partner still needs your team’s knowledge. The brief should make that work easier to identify.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The AI is asked to refer to evidence already supplied to it. Clarveni attaches the recorded source details and rejects web addresses invented in the generated output.

Outside articles and page text are also handled as material to assess. Text on a third-party page is not given authority to change the task or instruct Clarveni to reveal information. This is one of the controls used to reduce the risk of misleading instructions embedded in source material.

A real source link still needs reading. It can lead to a company announcement, a news report or a page that shows only part of an offer. Each supports a different kind of claim. [How Clarveni checks evidence](/trust/how-clarveni-checks-evidence) covers those distinctions.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Automated checks examine the generated brief. They look for defined problems such as missing evidence, unsupported figures, developments outside the briefing period and repeated claims presented as separate developments.

Some failures block delivery. Other findings are recorded without necessarily stopping it. The checks help catch specific faults; they cannot establish that every explanation is correct or that a suggested action will work for your business.

For a costly or difficult-to-reverse decision, use the brief to identify the question and the evidence to examine. Check the source and the relevant internal information before committing.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Briefs can be sent automatically. If someone on your team should approve them first, choose review before send for future briefs in the briefing settings.

An authorised editor can read the draft, change its wording, reorder or remove developments, request a new draft and approve it for delivery. Pending drafts in review mode wait for approval before delivery.

Editing the wording does not rewrite the underlying evidence or run the generation checks again. If you change a claim, check that the recorded source supports the revised wording.

That gives your team a place to add judgement before a recommendation reaches its recipients. It is particularly useful when the brief discusses an important customer, supplier or commercial decision.
